The KRIWAN Group from Forchtenberg looks back on the past year 2021 with great satisfaction: "The group's turnover in Germany and the six foreign subsidiaries increased to almost 30 million euros and we are currently satisfied with the group's earnings situation," says the managing director Dr. Christian Ellwein. "Last year, material bottlenecks and price increases for components were very challenging for us. Thanks to the great team performance of our employees, we were able to win important additional orders for 2022 due to our very good quality and delivery capability."
The KRIWAN Group produces sensors and electronics for the protection and digitalization of compressors, pumps and fans and carries out EMC and environmental tests for the automotive and industrial sectors at the KRIWAN Test Center. In particular, with the new protection relays for water and wastewater pumps and new sensors for the oil level in compressors, the group expects further above-average growth also in 2022. "In the coming year, we will also invest massively in our production site at Forchtenberg. In particular, the expansion of our fully automated production of high quality temperature sensors is one of the important focal points. We are planning the largest investment budget in the company's history." confirms the Chairman of the Advisory Board, Dr. Hans-Hinrich Kruse.
KRIWAN will continue to implement its strategy in 2022: in the sector of electronic components for pumps, a first product line for chemical pumps with ATEX approval will be launched. In refrigeration and air conditioning technology, an important focus is on further products for the new refrigerants, such as CO2 or propane. Furthermore, a new wind sensor with very high corrosion resistance is introduced especially for offshore wind turbines. In the KRIWAN test center, capabilities for high-voltage testing are being expanded. "In particular, tests and inspections of components for commercial vehicles, automobiles, railroads and other mobile applications are our strength" clarifies the managing director of the test center, Prof. Dr. Elmar Zeitler.
