The slim KRIWAN pump protection relay INT69 EXF2 Diagnostics is suitable for temperature monitoring for a pump that is operated in an Ex zone. The protective relay is installed in a control cabinet outside the EX zone. Two relays provide the necessary operational safety. A button and an external input are available as a reset in the event of an interlocked shutdown of the two relays. The run detection function allows monitoring of operating hours and switching cycles in the internal memory. Monitoring of a service interval is also possible in this way.

Protection functions and behavior can be flexibly adjusted to the application by parameterization. The INT69 EXF2 Diagnose stores operating and fault data in a non-volatile memory. This data can be read out and evaluated for diagnose. The protective relay is mainly used for the explosion protection of pumps and agitators.

KRIWAN pump protection relay INT69 EXF2 Diagnose BASIC EX in a Inlet Pumping Station
Minimizing failures and optimizing the performance of the inlet pumping station are the main reasons for using KRIWAN protection relays. Especially in an Ex-zone, temperature monitoring is crucial for operational safety.
The slim KRIWAN protection relay with EX approvals is used for monitoring temperature with PTC and bimetal. Further functions are a leakage input (conductance measurement), run detection, internal memory, reset button and an external reset input.
You need an end device, such as a laptop, cell phone or tablet with the KRIWAN INTspector App installed and a KRIWAN USB or Bluetooth gateway to establish the connection between INT69 EXF2 Diagnose and end device.
For quick and easy status indication and troubleshooting, a blink code is output via an LED on the front of the protective relay housing. This consists of a cyclic flashing sequence which can be looked up in the data sheet.
For a more detailed view, the KRWIAN INTspector App is available. The diagnostic data provides an overview of the operating behaviour of your pump. Events, operating times, switching cycles and current measured values are displayed and help with detailed analysis on site.
All events such as warnings, errors or messages are stored in a non-volatile internal memory and can be looked at via the INTspector App. The event memory contains the last 100 events with time and date. There are also counters for all events.
The run detection enables monitoring of operating hours and switching cycles in the internal memory. Monitoring of a service interval is also possible that way.
Submersible pumps and agitators, for example, are often already equipped by the manufacturer with moisture electrodes that can be monitored with the INT69 F Diagnose at E-, E+. These have the function of monitoring against penetrating medium or dry running. For this purpose, the resistance (conductance) between the two electrodes is measured. Depending on the application, the operating mode must be set to resistance exceeding or resistance falling below.
A reset button and an external reset input are available when the two relays of the INT69 EXF2 Diagnose are locked out. The relays can be switched back on after a interlocked shutdown following a reset and if there is no longer an error.
The INT69 EXF2 Diagnose has two relays (changeover contacts) which can be flexibly assigned to the inputs. This does not apply to the two temperature inputs, which are always active with relay 1 and can be deactivated when not in use by inserting a resistor at the respective input. The limit values of the two temperature inputs are fixed for safety reasons. Additional monitoring functions can be flexibly assigned to relays 1 and 2 via parameterization using the INTspector App. If an error or warning (leakage input) is detected, the associated relay switches off. The two relays operate according to the closed-circuit current principle.
To integrate the KRIWAN protection relay into your control system, you need an INT600 DM Gateway that converts the pump operating data into a Modbus protocol (Modbus RTU).
The packaging contains the protection relay (depending on the voltage variant AC/DC 24V or AC 100-240V) and the data sheet / operating instructions. In addition, two resistors for deactivating the temperature inputs are included in the scope of delivery.
All KRIWAN protection relays are delivered with a factory setting. The INT69 EXF2 Diagnose can be found on the product page in the download area as a parameter list. The parameterization can be individually adapted to your application during installation and commissioning using the KRIWAN INTspector App.
