The KRIWAN PTC screw-in sensors have been specially developed to protect machines and systems from thermal overload and overheating. They reliably measure the temperature of liquids and gases directly at the point of use, for example in the cylinder head, and react quickly and precisely to temperature changes thanks to their steep R/T characteristic. Encased in a robust stainless steel housing, the sensors are optimally protected against aggressive media and mechanical influences and therefore offer maximum reliability even under demanding operating conditions. With a wide range of nominal response temperatures and the option of connecting several sensors in series, our PTC screw-in sensors enable flexible and cost-effective temperature monitoring for numerous industrial applications.
Application of KRIWAN PTC screw-in sensors
PTC screw-in sensors in accordance with DIN VDE V 0898-1-401 are used to protect electrical machines against thermal overload. KRIWAN PTC sensors with the same or different nominal response temperatures can also be connected in series. This makes it possible to monitor different limit temperatures cost-effectively. The KRIWAN PTC screw-in sensors are characterised by a very steep R/T curve. The design is optimised for low thermal inertia.
