These sensors record wind direction and speed as well as the temperatures in windings, components, and fluids – and they monitor oil circuits.

Readings from KRIWAN’s anemometers and wind direction sensors are used to ensure that turbines only start up when economically viable wind is reached, and they then help to align the turbine for maximum yield and protect it against winds that are too strong. 

Temperatures in components such as generators, drive systems, brakes, and the fluids in oil circuits are monitored by KRIWAN’s PTC, Pt100, and Pt1000 sensors during their entire operating lives, and are protected against critical operating scenarios in conjunction with a CMS.
