• Application

  Monitoring of oil differential pressure in refrigeration compressors. In multi-compressor packs, monitoring the lubrication system is particularly important because of the varying pressure conditions. The screw-in unit of the DELTA-P switch is installed directly to the pump housing. Internal channels link the switch to the suction and discharge ports of the pump. No capillary connections are necessary. The electrical part of the switch can be removed without opening the refrigeration circuit.

• Functional description

  When connecting the supply voltage via the auxiliary contactor of contactor K1 (operating recognition), the differential pressure monitoring is active. A red LED immediately signals a very low differential pressure. The display goes out when the predefined set value is reached. The output contact remains closed when the differential pressure reaches the set value. If the differential pressure remains or drops below the set value for longer than the interference bridging time, the output contact opens and locks-out mechanically. The switch can be reset to the operating mode using a reset button. Short periods of oil pressure deficiency during the operation are also evaluated. These also correspondingly increase the switch off delay (time integration).
