Warning concerning copies of KRIWAN products

Copies of KRIWAN products appeared on the market at the end of 2007. Specifically, these were replicas of the very successful INT69 range, without however reaching the same quality level.

The PCB layout and the manufacturing process of these devices exhibit significant deficiencies. Independent functional tests carried out internally and externally revealed not only design flaws, but also serious safety risks. The quality level of these products is not adequate. In our opinion, use of these products constitutes a high risk potential.

Particular hazards were identified in the design of the internal power circuit, in the non-observance of the relevant safety standards governing overvoltage susceptibility and in the substandard mechanical design of the connection terminals. KRIWAN has received examples of these devices returned from the market with unmistakable traces of burning on and within the devices.

We urgently warn the industry not to use these products !

Since the devices even carry an imitation of the KRIWAN logo, they are not easily distinguishable from the genuine article. To be sure that you are purchasing an original KRIWAN product, address your enquiries / orders only to official KRIWAN subsidiaries or representatives.
