Vocational college
Vocational college education is the alternative to a university education for committed secondary-school graduates with a strong logical and analytical capacity, a willingness to achieve, and a practical mindset.
Other requirements are a general or specific entrance qualification for tertiary education with an excellent performance record, including at least one foreign language.
Courses start in October every year, with a prior introductory traineeship of at least 4 weeks, lasting 3 years overall. Training is conducted in a dual system in cooperation with the Berufsakademie Mosbach.
Degree
Bachelor of Engineering (Vocotional college)
Alternating training:
The six semesters are divided into theoretical and practical training phases, each lasting 12 weeks (dual system). Prior to the studies, a three-month practical traineeship needs to be competed.
Electrical engineering:
Basic studies involve general electrical engineering, as well as basic skills and methods in mathematics and science. Following the assistant's exam, students may specialise in automation engineering. Focuses are the encoding of physical values in electrical signals, signal processing, as well as industrial process measurement and control. The skills and methods of computer science for these types of application is also a key subject of training. The close relation between training at the vocational college and on-the-job training with the participating companies results in a solid scientific and practical education.
Industrial engineering:
Graduates with a bachelor in industrial engineering (vocational college) specialising in international sales and distribution management are capable of applying scientific knowledge to practical problems. The graduate has a solid foundation in technical and business processes, enabling him/her them to solve technical and management problems. Graduates can be immediately employed in the fields of technical sales and distribution, procurement, product management, marketing, project development, maintenance and service. Thanks to systematic practical training, graduates are also highly competent in social skills and methods.
