Radiation

Pyranometer, measuring range 0...2000 W/m²

  • Article No.

    13 S374

  • Application

For recording overall radiation intensity. With its built-in measurement transducer (DC 4...20 mA standard signal), the sensor is universally suitable, e.g., for controlling indoor lighting control systems, for use as an outdoor twilight sensor in building management systems, or for use in weather stations and greenhouses.

  • Functional description

The pyranometer consists of a photo diode cast in a weather-proof metal housing. In order to ensure a large light yield, the photo diode is located under a cone-shaped cover with a dispersion glass filter. The output current (DC 4...20 mA) of the pyranometer increases proportional to the intensity of radiation. These values can either be measured directly or further processed by means of limit value switching relays, for example.
