• Application

  The KRIWAN-wind monitor WA serves as a limit value switch in combination with a vane anemometer INT1, Art.-no.: 02 N222 or INT2, type no.: 02 N220. Typical applications are storm protection control of ventilation flaps in greenhouses. It can also be used as a control unit in combination with smoke alarm systems in building automation.

• Functional description

  An installed analogue instrument displays the actual wind speed in m/s. The wind monitor provides the option of setting two different switching points, for example preliminary warning and shut-off. The adjustable limit values can be processed further with two separate output relays that pick up when the switching point is reached. While relay 1 (pre-warning) responds with a delay of approximately 2 s, a pick-up or drop-out delay of 2 ... 120 s can be set for relay 2 (disconnection). A display (green LED) is installed for displaying the status of relay 1. Another display is provided for the mains inspection (yellow LED).
