Vane anemometers are used for measuring and monitoring the wind speed, e.g. for monitoring crane systems, ski lifts and cable railways, wind power systems, building automation, blinds protection and weather stations, as well as in scientific and research applications.
The KRIWAN vane anemometer is designed to be storm and weather-proof. It is also maintenance-free, which makes it suitable for all applications. The device is usually equipped with a self-regulating heater (suitable heating transformer: item no. 52 N 120). The vane anemometer consists of a three-phase current tachogenerator with an integrated three-phase rectifier bridge. The output voltage is proportional to the speed and can either be directly displayed at a gauge or on a writer, or it can be used as an input voltage for a switching amplifier. A four-core connection cable is required where two wires are required for heating.
