Inspection, Testing, Certification

As a certified enterprise, the KRIWAN Testcenter offers a wide variety of services ranging from standard tests to tailored test programmes. Everything began with the testing of KRIWAN products, with the focus on testing for electro-magnetic compatibility (EMC). However, the KRIWAN Testcenter quickly established itself as a service provider for other companies.

Today the Center serves a range of German and international customers. For example, a number automotive industy suppliers have their airbags tested in Forchtenberg. But there is more: Ranging from lamps in the roof liners of passenger cars to trailer hitch latches for cargo vehicles, a wide variety of products are tested here.
Equipment suppliers for ships and offshore oil platforms also come here establish in time whether their products are a match for the elements.

Within the KRIWAN Group, the KRIWAN Testcenter is completely autonomous. Today its services covers the demands of the automotive, railway, fire-detection, industrial electronics, medical technology, marine, and offshore industries. Areas of activity are:

Testing

Taking into account the aspects of electromagnetic compatibility, environmental simulation, and fire detection, products are tested for compliance, function, electrical safety, and software quality (SQS).

Approval

The KRIWAN Testcenter is a certified partner for e1 type approval (KBA), the certification of fire detectors (DIBt), and CE certification.

Consulting

Testcenter experts support customers in the design and implementation of testing and certification plans.

Solutions

Testcenter experts are competent partners both for isolated problems (e.g., EMC compliance) and for more general issues (e.g., product hardening).
